France Orange plan will cover LoRa network across the country at the end of 2017.

France Orange has declared recently that they plan to cover LoRa network across the country by the end of this year. Currently, the Orange LoRa network has covered 4,000 towns and industrial cities.

"Orange intends to proceed interconnection tests between LoRa and other European operators on the basis of LoRa union framework before December, and plans to test roaming of LoRs network" as Orange declared in a statement.

Once roaming is realized, the Orange Business Services plan can be supported, and the globalized end-to-end Internet of Things services can be available accordingly. These services shall cover towns, harbors, and industrial cities.

In September 2016, Orange declared that they had fulfilled the goal of the LoRa coverage in advance, which covers 18 urban areas, including 1,300 cities and towns. Afterwards, the operator announced that by the end of January 2017 LoRa network coverage shall be expanded to 120 urban areas, including 2,600 cities and towns.

It is known that over 100 enterprises have signed the LoRa Datavenue Internet of Things solutions based on the Orange Business Services.
